My child absolutely loved this class! She had so much fun. She also found confidence to write. That is something she has struggled with because she is a perfectionist & doesn't like to do anything wrong so she would just avoid it if at all possible. During this class I never even had to ask her to write, she was always wanting to write!

Arcana is the best.  It is very detailed.

I have two kids (ages 8 and 10) that participated in this class and they both loved it. One struggles with reading/writing and the other doesn't but this class levels the playing field through creative and interactive sessions that encourage all students of varying abilities to want to write. Over the 6 weeks, both of my kids willingly wrote more than they ever have in that timeframe. Shawna makes each class fun and my kids expressed how sad they were that is was over!

My youngest son was in the same class as a grade 8 and this did not present any impediment to his participation.  I loved how he learned new writing opportunities that I, as a home school parent, would never have thought to introduce him to and certainly never thought, at his age, that he would be capable of producing.

Shawna is an incredible teacher. Really above and beyond. We took her first quest through our school and the second through Outschool. My daughter, who didn’t like to write, is writing all the time now. She loves these quests! She has made friends and has learned some amazing team work and problem solving skills along the way. Those skills are transferring into other places in her life. Her story and character development has also gotten miles and miles better! Shawna is fun, encouraging, imaginative, and has created such a magical world your entire family will become drawn into. It’s so much fun!

I love Arcana so so so much! I’m so glad I do it! It’s the funnest writing class I’ve ever done and it has such fun adventures! I never want to stop. You can problem solve and you can make up your character’s backstory however you want! It’s one of my favourite parts of homeschooling!

We love Arcana! This class has been such a joy for my daughter, her imagination and creativity has been ignited, her connection to community has been strengthened, and willingness to put pen to paper and write has grown stronger every week. We really hope to continue adventuring through Arcana on the next quest, The Oracle.

I am absolutely thrilled with our experience with Adventures in Arcana. It is usually a struggle to get my 10 year old to do any type of writing but he loves this class. He is even spending his free time writing for extra credit. It is so great to see them engaged and excited for class each week. Shawna does a great job at keeping all the kids engaged and involved. I would absolutely recommend this program!

We love Arcana. Raven has spent hours writing, imagining, and exploring this amazing imaginary world. It is also a great way for homeschoolers to meet and interact with other peers.

This is amazing.  It is the first class I have ever paid full attention to! You can express your creativity, problem solve and you can meet people and make stores. This class makes it fun to write and it gives you interesting prompts from your characters point of view, and makes your writing come to life!
