Darkstalker's Monster

Darkstalker's Monster

This is the story of how I came face to face with one of my greatest enemies but also how I learned it is important to stay alert at all times when in the Clawheart Cliffs of the Realm of Tor. I had been only 50 when my father told me it was time I was tested to see whether or not I was worthy of achieving dark magic. He told me to go to Tor's palace because he had a quest for me. So I set out on my adventure I started walking toward Tor's palace. After a few hours I realized it would take me at least a year to get to Tor's palace because of the spell he had put on his Realm. (I can not tell you what spell it is or how it works because then I would be murdered by Tor and his executioner.)

So I decided to go to the witch Morag. I reached her hut by midday and she told me that Tor had sent a messenger to her about my mission because he had a feeling that I might go to her. She told me that I was a special Infernal because I was also noble on my mother's side which was very rare. But to be special came with a price you had to go on a different quest than other dark wizards. She told me that I had to go to the dreaded Clawheart Cliffs and fight the most evil creature in the entire Realm. I had to take the amulet it was guarding.

I left the hut with fear making me queasy and nauseous. I made it into the Clawheart Cliffs by sundown so I decided to rest for the night in a cave I had found. When I woke up I found a huge Berhinian boar at the entrance to the cave snarling at me. I pulled out my long sword and attacked. I finished it in a minute. I decided to leave because when you see one boar there are most likely more.

I found the cave that Morag had told me to find. I could tell it was the right one because it had an eerie green glow coming from the inside of the cave which was what I thought was the glow from the amulet. I called out asking if there was anyone inside as soon as I called out the light left the cave and out came the most fearsome and scary creature anyone has ever seen. It was so scary I thought I would faint and become its millionth victim. I suddenly remembered the stories of the people that disappeared in the Cliffs. I hoped that I would not be one of them.

The creature was tall and floating it carried a sickle on its back it was wearing a black robe that was ripped at the bottom that gave it an even scarier aura. It smelled of death which is not exactly nice and sweet. The most freaky thing of all was the face it did not have one but maybe it did under the hood I was too scared to tell. What was so scary was that endless hole of black right were its mouth should have been. I was frightened enough to run in terror and hide from the world but I did not show my fear I stood my ground and drew my long sword for the second time that day.

By now it was evening and the sky had turned blood red. I took this as a sign that one of us would fall today. I charged and my attack was met with a block. I grabbed its neck, it felt like worms and slugs it was icky but was also like leather and it felt tough. I let go and parried and slashed. I made a hit but what I saw made my blood run cold. The creature had golden blood which meant that I could not kill it in its lair.

I had an idea I would attack the creature but what it did not know was that my sword was an enchanted sword. It would create an illusion of me and the enchantment would leave my sword after the quest was over. So I imagined myself attacking and blocking and that was what happened. An illusion of me came up in front of the monstrous creature and illusion me attacked while real me stole the amulet and ran outside the cave.

I called off my illusion and yelled, "Hey is this what you want?" It screamed a scream that was so high that I thought my eardrums would pop. When I looked back the creature was racing towards me it raised its sickle and brought it down I ducked, dashed forward and slashed it. The creature split in half but suddenly a searing pain was starting to build in my shoulder. With my sword in my hand I started on my journey home. One piece of knowledge in my head made me uneasy. I knew that the creature would be back because it was an undead creature and undead creatures can never stay dead for long. I also knew when it was back it would hunt me down until I was dead. That is my most feared enemy. By Darkstalker
